What this tutorial covers

This private tutorial class supports students working through UNISA COS1512, the second programming module. It carries on in C++ from COS1511 and turns towards objects.

Students work through classes and objects, constructors and destructors, operator overloading, friends, pointers and dynamic arrays, file streams, separate compilation, recursion and the standard template library.

COS1512 has no self-contained study guide. Tutorial Letter 102 is a guide to a prescribed textbook, which is why the lessons name the sections of that book they cover — you work through your own copy alongside them.
